Golf-related activities

When it comes to culture and shopping, Hamburg has a lot to offer. Numerous golf clubs are located in the so-called bacon belt of the Hanseatic City. Hamburg's city centre, its shopping streets and arcades as well as the numerous cultural attractions can be reached quickly and easily by car or public transport. Especially for guests of the Golf Lounge and their escorts, a short trip to the centre is a good idea. The popular golf and event location is, so to speak, just a tee-off from Hamburg's city centre.

Most of the leisure activities revolving around golf are located in the most beautiful natural surroundings, mostly like the golf clubs themselves. Take, for example, the Sachsenwald forest, which is very close to the Sachsenwald Golf Club, and the Gut Glinde, Wentorf and Brunstorf golf courses are also not far away. In the north of Hamburg, you can easily get to various nature reserves from the Gut Waldhof, Sülfeld, Jersbek, Walddörfer and Treudelberg golf clubs. In the south of the Hanseatic City, the golf clubs Soltau, Munster and Buchholz/Nordheide lure you to the Lüneburger Heide and the Heide Park Resort.

Those who like staying by the water will find happiness above all on the miles of beaches and marshlands along the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Near the golf courses of Büsum/Dithmarschen or Timmendorfer Strand there are many leisure activities for adults and children, including the bird park Niendorf, the climbing park Lenste, the Hansa-Park Sierksdorf and the seal station Friedrichskoog. West of Hamburg, and not quite so far away, some golf clubs (e.g. Schloss Breitenburg, Gut Haseldorf or Weidenhof) offer themselves as a starting point for long walks along the Elbe. Swimming and wellness pools are within easy reach of the golf clubs Lutzhorn and Großensee.
