Mein Schiff 3 is the latest jewel in the family of wellness ships of TUI Cruises, whereby jewel can be understood literally here because the huge glass façade in the form of a diamond on the stern of the ship is an unmistakable mark of identification. "Diamant trifft Perle" ("Diamond meets pearl") was therefore also the motto of the celebratory christening with sponsor Helene Fischer on 12 May 2014 in Hamburg Harbour.

Mein Schiff 3 offers its guests a whole host of highlights on board: swimming in the 25-metre outdoor pool, a spacious arena for various sports activities outdoors, a large LED screen with stands for sports broadcasting or open-air cinema. An absolute innovation is the "Meerleben" – the world's first maritime museum on the open sea. There is probably no better place to find out more about the sea and shipping in an entertaining exhibition.

Guests can also experience the sea in a very special way on the two "Blaue Balkone" ("Blue Balconies"). Here, you stand on glass platforms around 40 metres above the surface of the water and you feel like you are floating over the sea, and it's definitely breath-taking. Entirely other senses are addressed in the "Klanghaus", a concert hall that has been developed in collaboration with leading opera houses and promises sophisticated acoustics.

In the light-flooded interior, thanks to the glass diamond, a unique world of enjoyment awaits passengers, among others with the well-known restaurants "Richards – Feines Essen" and the steakhouse "Surf & Turf". In the "Atlantik" menu restaurant, delicacies are served in not one but three dimensions, with classical, Mediterranean and Eurasian cuisine. And a bit of Hamburg feeling is always on board Mein Schiff 3 too: when shopping along the "Neuer Wall", at the "Aussenalster" Bar on Deck 14 or in the buffet restaurant "Anckelmannsplatz".
