Deutsches Spring- und Dressur-Derby

Hamburg Cult Traditional Tournament

The hunt for the zero-defect ride continues: In summer, Hamburg will be the focus of the horse world, as the Derby Park in Klein Flottbek will once again be the scene of one of the world's most difficult jumping competitions.

The traditional Hamburg tournament attracts riders and horses from all over the world year after year and radiates real country flair. In 2022 the Derby takes place from May 25th to 29th.

Unique flair and special challenges

The German Show Jumping and Dressage Derby in Hamburg is the fifth of a total of fifteen derbies and the only stop on the prestigious five-star Longines Global Champions Tour show jumping series in Germany. In addition to the world-famous natural obstacles, the 3.5 metre high Große Wall and the two meter wide Wassergraben Pulvermann's grave present the riders and their horses with a special challenge.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Blankenese & Elbe outskirts

The former fishing and seamen's village of Blankenese is situated directly on the Elbe. It is the perfect starting point for hopping on a sailing boat or on the Elbe ferry, or for taking long walks along the shore. Another highlight is a visit to the Treppenviertel (German for staircase quartier) with a spectacular view of the lighthouse and the Falkenstein shore.
