Hey Pippi Longstocking! In 2025, Astrid Lindgren's hilarious superheroine Pippi will turn 80, and we want to celebrate! For one afternoon, the Hamburg Central Library will be transformed into Villa Villekulla: with a reading by actress Julia Nachtmann , live drawings by Katrin Engelking , who beautifully (re)illustrated the German Pippi books published by Oetinger Verlag , a quiz, and lots of little activities featuring Pippi and her friends!
The event takes place in cooperation with NDR – Audio for Children .
This reading takes place as part of SEITENEINSTEIGER International – a project by SEITENEINSTEIGER eV in cooperation with the Bücherhallen Hamburg and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media .
A family event for Pippi fans ages 5 and up.
