As the days grow shorter and the year slowly winds down, it’s time for stories that warm the heart. Actress and singer Mira Fajfer takes her audience on a theatrical and musical journey through the dark season. Through stories, poems, humorous anecdotes, and song, she blends literary classics with surprising discoveries and tales from Mecklenburg. Sometimes lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek, sometimes poetic and contemplative, the result is a varied program about winter and Christmas, memories, and new beginnings. Admission is free. A cultural event presented by the Ludwigslust-Parchim district as part of “Kultur auf Reisen.”

Literature and Music to Close Out the Year

As the days grow shorter and the year slowly winds down, a time full of contrasts begins: cold and darkness outside, warmth and light inside. Memories resurface, familiar rituals return, and suddenly you find yourself wondering where on earth this whole year has gone.

“Winterlich(t)” takes its audience on a theatrical and musical journey through the final weeks of the year. Stories, poems, and anecdotes meet song; subtle humor meets soft tones; and literary classics meet surprising discoveries. Stories from Mecklenburg and nearly forgotten traditions also find their place.

At the center of it all is the multi-award-winning actress and singer Mira Fajfer. After completing her studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts, she was a permanent ensemble member at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt for five years. Since then, she has performed at venues including the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Schauspiel Leipzig, the Staatstheater Stuttgart, and the Ruhrtriennale.

In “Winterlich(t),” the stage is all hers: Mira Fajfer reads, narrates, acts, and sings her way through a varied program exploring winter and Christmas, family and community, pranks and longing, memories and new beginnings.

At times lighthearted and tongue-in-cheek, at other times poetic and contemplative, the result is far more than a traditional reading. A lively afternoon or evening that invites you to smile, reminisce, and pause for a moment.

A program about the small and big rays of hope that shine especially brightly during the dark season.
