Legends Tour, emotions and golf moments you can touch
When Bernhard Langer tees off at the WINSTONgolf Senior Open from 26 to 28 September 2025, he is sure to attract the attention of the golfing world. The 67-year-old exceptional player, two-time Masters champion and record winner of the PGA Tour Champions had already announced his participation this spring – and has been generating great anticipation ever since. His return to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania promises once again to be a golf weekend full of exciting moments.

In addition to the Anhausen native, other well-known names such as Thomas Gögele, Stephen Dodd, James Kingston, Jarmo Sandelin and Italian Costantino Rocca will be competing for the title. Rocca made Ryder Cup history in 1997 when he defeated the young Tiger Woods in singles – a moment that made golf history and turned him into a legend. The traditional tournament is the only Legends Tour event in Germany – and offers golf fans the rare opportunity to experience the legendary greats of golf up close and personal.
Women with drive – and special added value for golf fans
With Patricia Beliard, Stefania Croce, Elisabeth Esterl, Rebecca Hudson and Ellen Smets, five experienced pros from the Ladies European Tour over 45 will be competing again this year. Their participation is very popular among the spectators – they bring a special dynamic to the tournament, add extra glamour to the event and make professional golf even more exciting to watch. Many guests enjoy watching the ladies play up close – not least because it can provide inspiration for their own game.
Three days of top-level golf – with free admission
The tournament will be played over three rounds in the tried-and-tested Dunhill format. On Friday and Saturday, one professional and one amateur will form a team of two. On Sunday, the 60 professionals will compete against each other in the final round. The total prize money is 500,000 euros, with 75,000 euros going to the tournament winner. The venue is the multi-award-winning WINSTONopen – with its challenging greens, strategically placed bunkers and characteristic terminal moraine landscape, it is considered one of the most beautiful and best courses in Germany.
