What do Antonín Dvoák, Giuseppe Torelli, and Joni Mitchell have in common? That’s right! Music that brings a sparkle to our hearts and to the dark season. The anticipation for this concert evening, which oscillates between classical, folk, and pop, is therefore all the greater.
Six youth ensembles and orchestras will take to the stage this evening, including the Fanny Mendelssohn Youth Orchestra, the Felix Mendelssohn Youth Orchestra, and the Moses Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra from the Mendelssohn Orchestra Family.
Under the baton of Clemens Malich (Mendelssohn Orchestra Family), Christoph Gerl (The Young ClassX Ensemble), Hannah-Malaika Gasirabo (Youngster Ensemble), and Diego Grützmacher and Sofie Buschmann (Classical Choir), the young musicians have put together a powerful concert program that takes up the theme of »anticipation« and brings it to life in a variety of ways.
A highlight of the evening will be singing together with the audience. However, we won’t reveal which song will fill the Great Hall just yet.
The Young ClassX e.V. was founded by the Otto Group and the Salut Salon ensemble. What began in 2008 is now considered one of the best-kept secrets among youth orchestras and choirs in northern Germany. No one should miss out on this exciting event.
