The fisherman could hardly believe his ears. He had actually caught a talking flounder! When the flounder even claimed to be an enchanted prince, the fisherman immediately released him. Back home, he told his wife, Ilsebill. She immediately saw her chance to finally become rich. So she sent her husband back to the flounder, and he called out the famous words: "Manntje Manntje Timpete, Buttje Buttje in de See, meine Frau, die Ilsebill, will not so wie ich wohl will."
