Teodor Currentzis is a charismatic person, an eccentric and downright notorious for his interpretations, which take pleasure in completely new aspects of music in terms of tempo and dynamics. Now, the crowd favourite returns to the Elbphilharmonie with his internationally studded leading orchestra. They have brought along the »Ring ohne Worte« (Ring Without Words), a sort of »best of« the most beautiful passages from Wagner’s opera tetralogy »Der Ring der Nibelungen« (The Ring of the Nibelung) – entirely without singing.
