For almost 15 years, they have been celebrating their Beautiful Songs – a special blend of folk, chanson, and cabaret. Stella's Morgenstern blends their own compositions with traditional Yiddish and Hebrew ballads, creating a unique, individual blend of old and new Jewish folk that defies categorization.
Subtly interpreted by the charismatic singer Stella Morgenstern with her unique, deep voice and expressive power. Stella plays instruments such as the autoharp and ukulele and is ably accompanied by the exceptional guitarist Andreas Hecht.
Most of the songs are compositions by Tel Aviv artist Jerry Merose. In their special recitals, the musicians explore central themes such as migration and displacement, the horrors of war, and freedom of spirit. In times of global change, the musicians explicitly emphasize beauty and aesthetics, focusing on what unites us in a polarized world. Stella's Morgenstern blends languages such as Yiddish, Hebrew, English, and German with diverse musical styles.
The ensemble conceives its music without boundaries, takes a stand for Europe, against exclusion and sings for solidarity in difficult times.
