In this research theater project, our team transforms into the "Institute for Sound and Extraordinary Music." Using headphones and microphones, the institute establishes an augmented audio connection to Hamburg schools and, with the help of the students, records the school's sounds: recess and class, loud and quiet, rhythm and chaos, where does it sound good, who is ignored, and what if the sound of the school itself were music?
To find out, the institute then invites the school to the theater for a school concert. Together with sound artists, the research theater team performs the school's sound—complete with concert pianist, school desk, megaphone choir, and ringtone.
Every performance is a premiere – the concert with the sound of the respective school!
For this reason, appointments will be held in advance at the Elbinselschule, the Stadtteilschule Eidelstedt and the Eckerkoppel primary school.
