Das Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal ist das Residenzorchester der berühmten Opéra Royal du Château de Versailles, die anlässlich der königlichen Hochzeit vom französischen Thronfolger Louis XVI und der österreichischen Erzherzogin Marie-Antoinette erbaut und am 16. Mai 1770 während der Hochzeitsfeierlichkeiten eingeweiht wurde.

In 2026, this renowned French orchestra will make its eagerly awaited debut at the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall. Together with Bulgarian star soprano Sonya Yoncheva, the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal will take the audience on a journey back to the Baroque era and present a magical evening of opera with works by George Frideric Handel.
