SEDAA (Mongolia / Iran)
A fascinating acoustic journey along the Silk Road
The master singer Naraa Naranbaatar, trained in his Mongolian homeland, the virtuoso dulcimer player Ganzorig Davaakhuu , and the Iranian multi-instrumentalist Omid Bahadori transport their fans to an exotic sound world between the Orient and the Mongolian steppe .
Her modern compositions are based on natural sounds created by traditional instruments and ancient vocal techniques of nomadic ancestors. Vibrating overtone singing and the throat singing style Hömii , as well as the melancholic sounds of the horsehead fiddle Morin Khuur, merge with pulsating drum rhythms to create a mystical soundscape, taking the listener on a fascinating acoustic journey along the Silk Road.
