Musicians from a wide range of different countries and from different continents play together in Bridges Kammerorchester. And you can hear it: the orchestra plays Arabian, Persian and European classical music, jazz, East European, Asiatic and Latin American music, their instruments also come from all over the world. The musicians incorporate their respective cultural experiences. What’s more, they compose all the pieces they play in the concert themselves – rather unique for an orchestra!
This ensemble is, however, not only musically superbly organised. Its members also want to take a social stance with this orchestra: »We want to show how this range of different cultures can grow together without any individual having to sacrifice their identity«, says Johanna-Leonore Dahlhoff, artistic director and flautist. Just as this orchestra brings musicians together and builds bridges, it also seeks contact with the people in the concert hall and wants to create a personal concert experience for them.
