Salma Jahani is the wife of the late Rahim Jahani. For many years, the two performed together as a duo. Today, their son Rahe Jahani – an extremely talented artist – joins his mother on stage and interprets the music in his father’s style. Rahe plays the harmonium himself. Mother and son are accompanied by three other musicians: on keyboard, tabla (drum) and percussion. »We want to make Afghan music – and especially the voices of women – audible to people all over the world at a time when this is not possible in Afghanistan!«
