QUEERHISTORYMONTH
QueerHistoryMonth will take place in Hamburg from May 1st to 31st, 2026 (www.queerhistoryhamburg.de). Various events within the festival will bring the history (and stories) of the queer community in Hamburg to life. Everyone is welcome – Kings, Quings, Queens, Allies, Friends, (chosen) Families, and everyone in between and beyond!
Event
A drag queen roulette dice game night in a cozy pub – no prior knowledge required. Queer history with games, fun, and excitement!
For many decades, the simple yet exciting dice game "Tuntenroulette" (Drag Queen Roulette) has been played at the Piccadilly. The dice board is over 50 years old and has withstood thousands of rolls. Legend has it that Herbert – the heart and soul of the Piccadilly – invented the rules in the late 1970s with his bowling buddies Volker and Holm, both of whom were 1.75 per mille (0.175%).
Herbert Wisnewski passed away in 2025. We at Pompös St. Pauli would like to organize a drag roulette tournament in his memory and spirit. The rules are so simple that they can be explained and quickly learned on the evening of the event.
The €5 entry fee includes the six dice you'll need, which you can also take home as a souvenir. Of course, you're also welcome to bring your own dice.
Piccadilly opens at 8:00 PM. First come, first served. We start the first round (of a total of four) at 8:30 PM. The winners will be determined and announced no later than midnight.
An evening to play games together, exchange stories and meet new people – all in Hamburg's oldest gay (now more queer) bar!
