Jonas Kaufmann needs no introduction. In great demand as one of the most popular tenors of our time, he has invited the acclaimed Swedish soprano Malin Byström to join him in performing a selection of light-hearted and charming songs by composers including Karl Goldmark, Franz Lehár and Emmerich Kálmán. Under the motto »Enchanting Melodies«, the two international stars will sing famous arias and duets from operas and operettas such as »The Queen of Sheba«, »The Merry Widow«, »The Land of Smiles«, »The Gypsy Princess« and »Countess Maritza«. Accompanied by the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, they will sweep you off your seats with a magical kaleidoscope of rhapsodic Hungarian exuberance, bittersweet Viennese melancholy and playfully catchy tunes that will send you home with a song in your heart.
