When Lucas Kemmler (guitar), Timon Krämer (double bass) and Henning Katz (drums) got together in Hamburg at the end of 2022, they merged their diverse musical influences into a unique soundscape: catchy melodies, complex rhythms and captivating harmonies. In doing so, they present their own perspective on contemporary jazz, drawing inspiration from the music of Wolfgang Muthspiel and Brian Blade, among others. With their compositions, most of which were penned by guitarist Lucas Kemmler, they set themselves the task of uniting the contradictions between simplicity and complexity, tension and relaxation – a dynamic that significantly shapes the interplay between the three friends and musicians in their small trio line-up. They have already performed at JazzBaltica, the Futurum Jazz Festival and the Altonale, among others.
Please note: For organisational reasons, the concert has been relocated to Studio E of the Laeiszhalle.
