The legendary pop duo Orange Blue, consisting of Vince Bahrdt and Volkan Baydar, looks back on an impressive career spanning over 25 years and is announcing a highly anticipated tour across Germany. Fans can look forward not only to the timeless hits but also to brand-new songs that once again showcase the unique chemistry between the two best friends.
It was a quarter of a century ago when Orange Blue stormed the airwaves with the catchy tune »She’s Got That Light,« dominated the German charts for over eight months, and thus laid the foundation for an extraordinary musical career.
Numerous music awards followed, along with a long series of albums and singles that secured Orange Blue a permanent place in German pop history.
A particular highlight of their career was the title song for the cinematic spectacle »Dinosaur,« earning them the distinction of being the first German band to compose, produce, and perform a song for Walt Disney. Shortly afterward came the title song for the Hollywood blockbuster »America’s Sweethearts,« starring Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and John Cusack, which further underscored their international standing.
With 26 albums and singles in their discography to date, Vince Bahrdt and Volkan Baydar have consistently demonstrated their versatility and their knack for catchy melodies. The two musicians are currently working intensively on new material—first tracks are set to be released later this year.
