Open Ship Schwimmkran SAATSEE von 1917 Celebrations

The historic floating crane SAATSEE once lifted wrecks, mooring dolphins, and other heavy objects using steam power. During the Open Ship event, you can watch a demonstration of the technology up close and learn in the onboard exhibition how the SAATSEE was used at the locks of the Kiel Canal and elsewhere. You can reach the floating crane via a free shuttle from the Landungsbrücken (Bridge 10) to the Hansahafen.
