Open Ship SCHAARHÖRN (Dampfschiff) Celebrations

Built in 1907, the SCHAARHÖRN was originally intended to carry Kaiser Wilhelm II through the harbor – but that never happened. Instead, the luxurious twin-screw steamer was used for hydrographic surveying in the Elbe estuary. In the 1970s, the ship nearly ended up in the Scottish mudflats, but the SCHAARHÖRN found its way back and was lovingly restored. Luckily for you: Visit this volunteer-run vessel in the Hansahafen harbor. Shuttle service from the Landungsbrücken (pier 10) is included.
