As part of their (post-)pandemic metamorphosis, the OFF THE RADAR crew has developed a new festival concept that connects several Hamburg locations, scenes, and cultural genres that operate outside the mainstream. The result is a four-day, decentralized city festival with an art, theater, film, and music program for everyone who loves subculture and wants to preserve it: OFF THE RADAR decentralized.
The goal is to bring the city's cultural periphery into the spotlight, so that the subculture's multifaceted powerhouses, whose genes are as deeply ingrained as the principle of DIY or DIE, finally receive the attention they deserve. With a festival that promotes participation instead of compulsive consumption, and in doing so, mines a wealth of undiscovered cultural assets and fool's gold instead of capital gains.
