The concert »Music – a dialogue of the ages« is conceived as a musical journey through different conceptions of time – from the clarity and balance of Viennese Classicism to the expressive tension of late Romanticism and the music of our present day. The first part features key works by Mozart, Rachmaninov and Scriabin – three compositional worlds that each reflect form, emotion and inner dramaturgy in their own way, leading the listener step by step to the limits of Romantic thinking.
The second part of the evening unfolds as a continuous suite dialogue form without intermissions. Music from different eras and cultural spaces is combined into a single artistic breath. Works, fragments, memories and transitions come together to form a coherent musical narrative about time, memory and continuity. The concluding individual works by Valentin Silvestrov and Alexey Chernov seem like a quiet epilogue to this dialogue – personal, concentrated and firmly anchored in the here and now.
