Following his exhilarating solo piano recitals in recent seasons, including at Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle, pianist Markus Altenkamp is now back. With a new solo programme characterised by emotional intensity and musical tension, which is unleashed in the first part of the programme with Scarlatti and Mozart, and in the second part with Rachmaninov and his Ukrainian-born contemporary Bortkiewicz.
