The youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate ever, winner of the prestigious Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, and author of the international bestseller »I Am Malala« is coming to Germany: Malala Yousafzai will present her new book »Finding My Way« in December, which is all about courage, education, and hope.
Please note: The reading will be held in English.
»My new book is the most personal I have ever written,« says Malala. »It is my coming-of-age story: friendship and first love, fears and insecurities, wild nights and hazy mornings.« Born in 1997 in Pakistan's Swat Valley, Malala Yousafzai grew up in a family that placed a high value on education. However, at an early age she experienced the brutal rule of the Taliban, who banned girls from attending school. At just eleven years old, she began blogging anonymously for the BBC, encouraging the global public by reporting on her everyday life and her fight for education.
In October 2012, Malala narrowly survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban, which made her famous worldwide and made her even more determined to fight for her cause. Since then, she has worked tirelessly for the rights of girls and young women. Through the Malala Fund, which she founded, she supports educational projects around the world and inspires millions to stand up against oppression and inequality.
