An evening dedicated to Chick Corea: his compositions, arrangements of his themes by Stephan König, and compositions by Giacomo Riggi and Stephan König will be performed as a tribute. The main work of the evening is Chick Corea's »Lyric Suite for Sextet«. The collaboration between Chick Corea and Gary Burton culminated in this ensemble, which was expanded to include a string quartet. The seven-movement composition takes listeners on a musical journey through a soundscape of jazz chamber music tones of ethereal beauty and rhythmic tension.
