The young German-Peruvian pianist Louisa Sophia Jefferson has already achieved extraordinary things at a very early age. Wherever she performs, she captivates audiences with her virtuoso brilliance, technical mastery, and musical maturity. At the age of eleven, she was accepted as a junior student at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater, and at sixteen she moved to Paris to continue her studies with Rena Shereshevskaya, one of the most renowned piano teachers of our time.
Her program spans a wide arc through music history—from Viennese Classicism to Modernism. She worked on Igor Stravinsky’s Three Movements from »Pétrouchka«, a work of the highest pianistic and rhythmic complexity, in a master class with Lang Lang, who expressly praised her interpretation.
