In "Art for Cash," eight small-scale artists take to the stage, compete against each other, and have the chance to win a little money.
Here, musicians meet comedians, slam poets duel with magicians. Everyone has eight minutes to captivate, entertain, or move the audience. In the end, the entire audience decides who wins the evening and gets to perform an encore—using the most important thing they have: their money. At the beginning of the evening, each performer receives a piggy bank, into which cash is thrown at the end. The person with the most money in the piggy bank wins and can henceforth be celebrated as the "Capitalist Pig of the Evening."
Of course, all participants are allowed to take their winnings home. So it might not be enough for everyone to achieve a triumphant victory, but at least it'll be enough for a kebab on the way home.
