David, a pianist in the throes of a midlife crisis, mourns past successes. Ben, at the beginning of his career, plays the trombone sensationally, winning every competition. And then there's Finn on the drums. He usually seems strangely detached. But when he twirls his drumsticks, the audience gasps.
A chance meeting brings the three musicians together. The veteran has the contacts, and in return, the youngsters show him a hopeful presence. They exude joy, humor, and lightheartedness.
