We tell the story "When the Ravens Were Still Colorful" by Edith Schreiber-Wicke as a Kamishibai. In this storytelling theater, large picture cards are inserted into a wooden frame and displayed to accompany the story.
The modern fairy tale takes us back to an imaginary time when ravens weren't yet black. Rather, they were brightly colored: There were turquoise ravens with purple spots and yellow ravens with red stripes. But one day, a snowman asked a question that would change everything: "Which of you ravens actually has the right color?"
