In his new lecture, Kai-Uwe Küchler, professional photographer and author, presents an impressive summary of his travels to southern Africa over the last 10 years. The fascinating journey stretches from the Kalahari to the Victoria Falls and the desert landscape of the Namib. Botswana’s spectacular national parks, including the Okavango Delta, as well as the areas around Moremi and the Chobe River, take centre stage. Other highlights include the Victoria Falls and the Caprivi Strip before the tour leads to Namibia. There, Küchler searches for desert elephants in Damaraland and explores the Etosha National Park by motorised paraglider. He crosses the 1,500 kilometre long Namib Desert by four-wheel drive vehicle and on foot to capture its impressive dunes and unique beauty. With travel photography at the highest level, time-lapse photography, aerial shots and video sequences, the presentation offers visual diversity.
