Founded in early 2025 by Hamburg pianist Dirk Bleese, the JazzWerk Big Band is one of the most distinguished ensembles in its genre. Its stage features renowned soloists and band leaders from the Hamburg and German jazz scene.
The repertoire is a cross-section of modern mainstream, arranged and composed by Dirk Bleese. Sometimes with subtle swing, sometimes with rock beats or in Latin jazz style. The audience experiences complex forms with beautiful melodies and exciting harmonies. In short: contemporary orchestral jazz that is fun to listen to.
