Stunts at dizzying heights, award-winning comedy and an explosive fire show: the Spielbudenfestival is entering its fourth round!
The international Spielbudenfestival will take place in St. Pauli from July 24th to 26th, 2026. Organized for the fourth time by the Corny Littmann Foundation for Art and Culture on Spielbudenplatz, the festival will present a colorful potpourri of daring stunts, outstanding dance performances, award-winning comedy, and breathtaking fire shows this year.
Street art on Spielbudenplatz has a long tradition: as early as 1795, the first wooden booths were erected, in which, among other things, puppet theaters and tightrope walkers gave performances. These booths gave the square its name. The Spielbuden Festival in St. Pauli builds on this tradition while also presenting modern approaches to various genres such as acrobatics, comedy, music, magic, and curiosities .
Sunday is family day . As in previous years, children and young people from various Hamburg circus schools and projects, moderated by Konrad Stöckel , present their skills in a circus ring.
This year's International Spielbudenfestival (Snack Bar Festival) in St. Pauli will again be free of charge and accessible to all visitors. The artists would, however, appreciate generous donations . Further information about the festival and the complete program can be found at https://www.spielbudenfestival.de/ .
