The “HANSE GUITAR CUP” is an international performance competition for young guitarists. The preliminary rounds will take place from October 19th to October 24th, 2026, in the form of duels at six different Haspa branches.
Admission is free. Those who register via the portal www.haspa-veranstaltungen.de/veranstaltung/2025306 can reserve a guaranteed seat. However, it is also possible to attend the concerts spontaneously, provided seats are still available.
In the preliminary round, participants must demonstrate their skills on the "small stage" and impress the audience with their stage presence. Two participants compete against each other each evening, presenting a 30-minute program of their choice. At the end, the audience decides by vote who will advance to the final.
At the final of the Hamburg Guitar Festival, you'll finally show that you can also fill the "big stage." Exciting prizes await you at the end, which will help you take the next important steps as a professional musician.
