Today, on Mother's Day, the kitchen stays cold and we're going sailing!!
What better way to start the day than with a wonderful sailing trip aboard the ELEGANT?
After boarding, the captain will welcome you, and then the journey begins on the Elbe River, past the ELPHI, the cruise terminals, and container ships towards Blankenese – accompanied by a gentle breeze and white sails on the Elbe. We'll see the Oevelgönne Museum Harbour and the small captains' cottages, the white villas of the Elbchaussee, and if the wind and current are favorable, we might even catch a glimpse of Blankenese. During the trip, you can enjoy a sumptuous brunch buffet on board.
Sailing makes you hungry, but if you'd like to do more than just feast and would like to lend a hand, then we cordially invite you to set sail with us. Enjoying yourself, chatting, and breathing in the sea air is what's on the agenda today!
THE SHIP
The ELEGANT was originally built in 1890 for coastal cargo sailing and was refitted in 1994. With 440 square meters of sail area, she now sails with guests across the Baltic Sea, the IJsselmeer, and the Wadden Sea. The ELEGANT features a bright, naturally lit saloon with a bar and a beer tap for freshly poured beer. The saloon can accommodate up to 30 people. There is also a spacious seating area on deck. For multi-day trips, guests are accommodated in nine centrally heated twin cabins and three four-berth cabins.
The ship can take 55 guests on day charters.
