Doing good in Advent: Art meets Palliative Network Travebogen
On December 12, 2025, the Palliative Network Travebogen gGmbH in Bad Segeberg will open its doors for a very special occasion:
From 4 PM to 8 PM, visitors can admire the art collection of Mr. Walter H. Barott – who was once an artist and art lecturer – in a festive atmosphere and acquire works for a donation.
Everyone pays what they wish.
The twist: All proceeds will benefit the Palliative Network Travebogen.
At the beginning of November, there was a similar initiative that met with great acclaim. Siblings Kathy Budler and Oliver Hüniche wanted to do something good with their father's works. Thus, there was a fundraising campaign ahead of time, during which approximately 140 pictures raised around 4000 euros.
Since Mr. Hüniche's wife was cared for by the Palliative Network Travebogen gGmbH in Bad Segeberg until her death, this donation benefited the Travebogen.
Jenny Wichelmann and Matthias Gropp from the team in Bad Segeberg received the donation. Both are pleased with the appreciation of the work. The entire Palliative Network Travebogen thanks for this extraordinary initiative.
The Palliative Network Travebogen gGmbH stands for comprehensive palliative care. As a nonprofit organization with a counseling clinic, an academy, and specialized outpatient palliative care (SAPV), it supports, accompanies, and advises more than 1,600 severely ill and dying people annually in the regions of Lübeck, Bad Segeberg, Bad Oldesloe, and Kaltenkirchen.
