With »Lotterleben«, Flosse takes further steps between post-jazz, avant-garde and indie. In doing so, the quartet continues to shape and sharpen its own distinctive, humorous and experimental musical language. Between hustle culture and the endless search for meaning, Flosse would rather celebrate aimless drifting – an honest response to a time when no one quite knows what we are supposed to be striving for anymore. At times, the band signals right and turns left, taking an almost anarchic delight in playing with conventions, norms and rules.
