An event in the series "The Christmas Bakery - The Musical" in Hamburg
The Christmas Bakery
The musical with the songs of Rolf Zuckowski by Martin Lingnau and Hannah Kohl
Can you really wish for snow? Are there actually dogs that can talk, sing, and even conduct an audience? Can a snowman sing and dance? What is a Bim-Bam-Bella-Tinkie-Trixie-I'm-Your-Friend doll? Is Santa Claus sometimes actually Mrs. Claus? And where did the Christmas cookie recipe go?
The musical "The Christmas Bakery" provides answers to all these questions, in which the three siblings Jonas, Paul and Emily experience quite a few adventures together with their dog Muffin.
When their parents are unable to return home due to a snowstorm, the three siblings are left to their own devices to get the family Christmas baking underway, as their grandparents are expected the next morning. Of course, the refrigerator is empty, the recipe has vanished, and there's no money in the house. Therefore, the siblings have to come up with some ingenious ideas to achieve their goal.
Will they manage to surprise their parents with wonderful cookies? Or will they get lost in the woods on their way to the Christmas market? Why is their neighbor, Mrs. Schnitzenbacher, constantly on their heels? And where has Muffin disappeared to again?
A turbulent story is told during the pre-Christmas season, interspersed with 20 of Rolf Zuckowski's most beautiful winter and Christmas songs – including, of course, the well-known title song.
