The Olchis & the Spirit of the Blue Mountains
Flyspecks and Olchi farts – life is far too short!
Things are wonderfully stinky in Schmuddelfing! The Olchis live on the garbage dump – green, lovable little monsters who love nothing more than eating garbage. Rotten fish, old tin cans, and decaying garbage bags are at the top of their menu.
The mayor of Schmuddelfing knows this too. He promptly persuades the Olchis to eat the garbage on the Blue Mountains. There they encounter the mysterious spirit of the Blue Mountains – but that is far from the only adventure the Olchis experience in this production by the Bielefeld Chamber Puppet Theatre.
While Schmuddelfing is increasingly drowning in garbage because everything is thrown away far too quickly these days, the mayor resorts to drastic measures: He kidnaps an Olchi child to have the town "devoured" clean. At first, his plan seems brilliant – but soon everything spirals out of control…
A turbulent, funny and exciting puppet theatre based on the popular children's book by Erhard Dietl, full of quirky characters, cheeky sayings and an important message about the environment, responsibility and solidarity.
A perfectly ordinary, delightful theatrical experience for the whole family!
