Following its highly acclaimed anniversary tour, »Die Nacht der 5 Tenöre« is once again embarking on a major tour of Germany. Under the motto »Musica sotto le stelle«, the ensemble takes visitors on a magical evening full of timeless arias and melodies that have enchanted people for centuries.
The tenors will be accompanied by the Plovdiv Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by the renowned Nayden Todorov and, alternately, Tsanislav Petkov. The star guest will be the brilliant soprano and world-famous Anna Maria Kaufmann, one of Germany’s most renowned voices. Born in Canada, Kaufmann received her classical vocal training at the Robert Schumann Institute in Düsseldorf. She made her breakthrough in 1990 with the role of Christine Daaé in the musical »The Phantom of the Opera« in Hamburg, alongside Peter Hofmann.
The programme includes a fascinating mix of famous arias and Italian canzone, which perfectly brings out the magic of the melodies. Whether opera lovers or classical music novices – »Musica sotto le stelle« will captivate the audience with every performance.
