The smallest shanty choir in the world
Amidst wind and storm roar, the Klabauter band cruises across stages, piers, and promenades. Our gaff-rigged dinghy is brimming with musical ingenuity: the shrouds are marimbas, the forestay a bass, and the bow, with its cymbals and castanets, serves as a drum kit. Add to that ukuleles, banjo, marimba, glockenspiel, trumpet, flutes, harmonica, our famous crab trumpet, and, of course, an accordion. And does anyone sing? Absolutely, in German, English, and Low German!
