Nídia is an internationally acclaimed Afro-Portuguese electronic music producer and DJ based near Lisbon, Portugal. As a core member of the Príncipe Discos record label and artistic collective, she is a decisive force in bringing progressive aesthetics and ethics to the global alternative dance scene, particularly within kuduro culture.
Since her 2015 debut, "Danger," she has released multiple celebrated records, including the acclaimed LP, "Nídia é Má, Nídia é Fudida".
Her impressive accolades include winning a Grammi (Swedish Grammy) for production on Fever Ray’s Plunge and an AIM Award for remix work. Her third album, "95 MINDJERES" (2023), honors the women freedom fighters from Guinea-Bissau's struggle for independence, demonstrating her deep ties to her Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verdean roots.
