The Cookie Emergency Hotline 2412 is there to help with burnt biscuits, forgotten recipes, missing chocolate sprinkles, melted icing and stressed-out parents. No wonder Alfons Zuckerwatte, the baker at the Cookie Emergency Hotline, has his hands full in the run-up to Christmas: the phone is ringing non-stop, with one emergency call after another.
And today is particularly hectic. The children are visiting the Cookie Emergency Hotline, Father Christmas needs his annual XXXL wholemeal cookie energy pack, and the little incense burner and the nutcracker are chattering away in the background too.
Then, when an urgent ‘heart biscuit’ emergency call comes in, something happens to Alfons Zuckerwatte that has never happened to him before: he can’t deliver!
Of all things, he’s run out of heart-shaped biscuits...
There’s only one option: to bake a heart-shaped biscuit straight away. Will he manage it? Especially as Alfons is already so… well, all mixed up, with the Nutcracker and the Incense Burner playing at a nativity scene in festive anticipation, waiting for the Three Wise Men to make their appearance, and someone constantly trying to get through on the phone with a wish-list emergency.
But then there are the children, of course...
