Premiere in Hamburg Harburg: First Children’s Philharmonic concert featuring the Alou String Quartet.
The time has come: the Children’s Philharmonic is launching its Hamburg programme – and what better way than with a real home game! The musicians of the Alou String Quartet met whilst studying at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. The Hanseatic city is therefore a musical home for all four of them.
With groove, jazz, improvisation and their own compositions, they demonstrate just how versatile string instruments can sound – from classical music, through Greek folk melodies, right through to the blues. How can you improvise yourself?
Together, we’ll sing, clap, move and experiment – an interactive concert where you can join in, discover and be amazed.

Please note that this concert is aimed at very young children (aged 1–3). Siblings are, of course, welcome. You’ll be sitting on carpets and mats, so please feel free to bring non-slip socks for your children.
