On the first Saturday of each month (through October), the South Transept of St. Jacobi’s Main Church becomes a peaceful coffeehouse amid the hustle and bustle of the city center: homemade cakes and pastries are sold in support of a good cause. Each month, proceeds go to a different social project. In July, we are supporting GoBanyo, a mobile shower service for people experiencing homelessness.
Program on July 5, 2025:
12:00–4:00 PM: Café Jacobus with coffee, homemade cakes and pastries in the South Aisle
12:00 PM: Heavenly Music and Spiritual Reflection (20-minute organ music)
12:30 PM: Guided tour of the church (In german language)
2:00 PM: The Organ Mouse – A conversation concert for children (and adults) about how the organ works | Gudrun Heinsius (Organ Mouse), Gerhard Löffler (Organ) | Free admission
3:00 PM: Guided tour of the restoration workshop (In german language)
Due to ongoing renovation work, tower climbs are unfortunately not possible at the moment.
