Song as language, as encounter, as connection: Since 2018, the artist and composer Ayumi Paul has explored a wide range of vocal traditions, asking how people can connect through their voices – beyond time and place, free from sheet music and the pursuit of perfection. For Paul, singing is an open space that takes shape through shared practice. With »The Singing Project«, she invites the audience to become part of the music itself, part of the soundscape.
