Formed in 2021 at London’s Royal College of Music, the Astatine Trio has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting young piano trios in the UK. In 2022, the musicians were taken under the wing of pianist Alfred Brendel as their mentor and they have recently been named BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, joining a prestigious development programme that has helped launch the careers of many leading musicians. At the Laeiszhalle, they present a late piano trio by Robert Schumann alongside a chamber music classic by Ludwig van Beethoven.
