The artist Isa Johannsen works with layers of paper, lines, and colors that overlap and create new dimensions. Geometric structures provide stability to her works, yet are constantly set in motion through intuitive applications of color and gestural interventions. Thus, order and the unforeseen meet, and visible and hidden forms interweave into new connections.
Her exhibition “Come Close” invites viewers to follow these layers and, through close observation, sharpen their own perception.
