Ensemble anonymus - Music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance
Johann, Juan, John, Giovanni – countless musicians bear the name Johannes in various forms. The anonymus ensemble is dedicating its current concert program in Reinbek Castle to them. Without questioning the musical genius of Johann Sebastian Bach or John Lennon, the ensemble takes its listeners into the world of music from the 14th to 17th centuries with Italian madrigals, French motets, Spanish villancicos and English consort music. Anonymus plays on replicas of historical instruments such as the pomeranian, dulcian, recorder, gemshorn, crumhorn, lute, chitarrone, fiddle and percussion, bringing the colorful sound world of past centuries to life.
