The Akkordeon-Orchester Hamburg-Eimsbüttel and its ensemble travel the world through a variety of rhythms. Their musical journey takes them through Tyrol, the Balkans and the American continent. Along the way, they encounter traditional sounds such as the Tiroler Rhapsodie, fiery Latin American rhythms and evergreens by North American artists Neil Diamond and Toto.
A special highlight awaits on a stop in Great Britain: »Totems«, a demanding commissioned work by Ian Watson, the internationally renowned British composer, musician and conductor of the London Accordion Orchestra.
The journey through the rhythms of the world features a wide-ranging selection of compositions and arrangements by leading figures such as Rudolf Würthner, Adolf Götz, Hans-Günther Kölz and Wolfgang Russ. As tradition dictates, it concludes with a return to familiar ground in Hamburg.
